Sell your junk! Scrap yards are busy and may seem intimidating at first but there is no cause for concern. Follow these easy tips and you’ll be well on your way to

1. GATHER ALL METALS. If you need help getting started, take a peek at the list on the left. If you have any questions about whether or not we accept an item please call 860-848-3366.

2. SORT YOUR METAL. If you can make a distinction between the different types of metals please separate them. If you can’t- no worries.

3. FIND A SCRAP YARD NEAR YOU.

4. ONCE IN THE YARD. Upon arrival at the scrap yard, look for signs directing you where to line up your vehicle. When it’s your turn, a traffic light will signal green and your vehicle is ready to be weighed on the scale- depending on the scrap yard you are at you will either back onto the scale or drive onto the scale.

5. While being weighed, ask the scale house operator for further directions.

6. After offloading material and weighing in again, sign the ticket, collect your receipt and your cash!
